Nepal had just over 23 million people at the last census (2001) and this number is increasing at the rapid rate 2.45% annually.Over 1.5 million people live in the Kathmandu valley 70000 of them in Kathmandu.Nepal remain predominantly rural:80%of people live in the country side.
